Wild Monkeys

9 Jul

Having past through the Golden Whip Stream, we weren´t hoping to see the monkeys anymore. Then someone had brought FOOD. From their hiding places the monkeys came down the hill and across the river, a gang of five or six. People were throwing tangerines at them, and they were jumping, climbing, doing their best to catch the food. There was excitement in the air, men laughed, women screamed when the monkeys came to sit in front of our feet.

Sometimes the monkeys exert robbery. That is why the fruit traders across the street always keep that stump close to their hands.
