Chez les Coiffeurs

14 Jun

The hairdresser in China is a slim man with a more or less extroverted, but always fantastic hairstyle and extremely long fingernails, wearing tight shirts, tight trousers and stylish shoes. Coiffeuses are a rare exception.

In the very first instance you do not distinguish the hairdressing salon by its black and noble design or the hairmodel pictures, but rather by the music. The hairdressing salon is the number one music place. You get hot techno, sentimental ballads in chinese, then chinese singing on well-known, most exactly copied western chartbreaker melodies, then, from time to time, well known original western tracks. I had “Billie Jean” last time. Very often, the music is played excessively loud, and only sometimes on a moderate level.
